Our school's Eastern Taiwan Pesticide Residue and Toxicology Inspection Center (referred to as the Agricultural Inspection Center) was invited to attend the "Pesticide Residue Mass Spectrometry Rapid Inspection Mobile Laboratory - Linking Medical Inspection Farmers' Drug Use Counseling Team" organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural Drug Testing Institute on July 19 Press Conference", during which it was mentioned that five sets of pesticide residue mass spectrometry rapid testing mobile laboratories will be built across Taiwan, hoping to become a new benchmark for agricultural product safety. One of them will be responsible for the relevant testing in the Eastern Taiwan region by the Agricultural Inspection Center of our school. business, and is expected to officially launch roving inspection services in Huadong area next year. Developed by the Pesticide Research Institute, the mobile laboratory combines information communication and artificial intelligence technology, leading the world and providing the most cutting-edge inspection methods for the safety of agricultural products.

Innovative technology to instantly ensure the safety of agricultural products

The mobile laboratory integrates FaPEx, the fastest pesticide residue testing technology in the world developed by the Institute of Pesticides, and mass spectrometry artificial intelligence calculation technology. Combined with the mobile characteristics of the vehicle, it combines liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometer testing equipment and FaPEx pre-treatment equipment is installed on mobile vehicles. This rapid inspection technology can simultaneously inspect 200 common domestic pesticides. The inspection report can be completed in about 20-25 minutes for the first sample, and only 8-10 minutes for each subsequent sample. . The mobile laboratory does not require the use of toxic chemicals during the inspection process and significantly reduces the use of solvents. It is not only environmentally friendly, but also reduces the inspection fee from the original 4,000-8,000 yuan to 1,200 yuan, effectively reducing the inspection costs of farmers and operators and improving their Willingness to self-manage.

The mobile laboratory established by the Agricultural Inspection Center of our school will conduct regular inspections and is expected to serve major farmers' associations, fruit and vegetable markets, cooperatives and cooperative farms in the East Huadong region. Its mobility allows samples to be quickly inspected to ensure that agricultural products are qualified for the market. , the harvest of unqualified products will be postponed. In the future, the Agricultural Inspection Center will also evaluate the possibility of integrating plant diagnosticians from other universities, hoping to further provide integrated services of plant disease and insect pest diagnosis, safe pesticide use consultation and immediate inspection, so as to strengthen farmers' awareness of safe production and reduce the misuse of pesticides. In addition, it will also provide opportunities for on-campus students to conduct internships. In addition to combining the relevant knowledge of pesticide residue testing learned in the classroom, they can also practice the latest real-time testing technology of pesticide rapid screening. The Agricultural Inspection Center also evaluates the feasibility of continued cooperation with relevant technology licensees from the Institute of Pesticides, including Juyan Technology Co., Ltd. or Youhe Trading Co., Ltd., on this testing project to achieve specific results from industry-university cooperation.
